DMB sounds cool, however

It's finally come in Korea for people to watch TV while they move around all over the country with tiny mobile-phone. Watching TV while moving was a dream just a few years ago. But, now you see, it happens in Korea, and it is so-called DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting). Even DMB service provides land-based television program for free. It may be possible that prime time zone would change from between 7 and 10 p.m. to between 5 and 7 p.m. because commuters can watch their favourite programs in cars, buses, and trains as they get off from works.

However, you must pay for it. You will need new handset models just for DMB service, and it costs around 700,000 to 800,000 won(about $791). I expect there's going to be a certain period to make people spend their money on getting new DMB handsets. Most Koreans have their own mobile-phone already having MP3 players, Digital Cameras, and Phones. I just don't think many people will be dragged to DMB service for a while.

At the same time, I believe that certain period will not be last long. Koreans like to challenge and test new technologies. New digital equipments have been getting into people's daily life in a short period. DMB handsets will be common models over the country soon.
